I think it is the powerlessness, such as the picture above that vaulted my presence in the blogosphere. Facing and embracing your reality is what conquers the predicament.

This is the type of image that really gets me. There is an incredible capacity in our species to commit atrocities toward fellow human beings.
The fact that the soldier/policeman is searching out an open spot in his own gauntlet so that he can inflict added damage to two people who have already lost pains me deeply.
Brazil, has so much going for it, yet it's internal cultural war is so much like apartheid era South Africa it isn't even funny.
They have cost effective ethanol, and this. They have Bosa Nova, and abject poverty in Rio.
But they are in the Western Hemisphere so by Monroe Doctrine the US government should care more. By virtue of the Middle Passage, the world should care.
It's mind boggling to me.
