I don't think JJ is jealous. He probably thinks Obama has sold out because he's not talking about the "same ol' issues" in the "same ol' way." That's both a function of JJ's inability - then and now - to transcend beyond the his core African-American constituency to any significant degree.

Jesse's attitude was one of antagonizing the system while Obama's is one more along the lines of modifying a system that has been successful for some so that it is useful to all (or most).
